comments: If you're bad at Algebra, take this class and take this prof! He explains things really well and he'll help you whenever you need it.

comments: Please take this to heart: DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER!!! He has been teaching since 1952!! Assumes the student has as much knowledge as he does. Unless you are a gifted and talented student - BEWARE!!

comments: I had Dr. Starr for Calculus I, so I was not prepared for Dr. Alston in Calculus II. I made an A in Cal I, but I made a C (with a curve) on my first exam in Cal II. With a lot of work I have brought my test grades up a little. Dr. Alston does not grade homework or have quizzes. Your only grades are your test grades. He does not go over homework in class - if you have questions you have to see him outside of class. He does work all the problems out and keep them on reserve in the library, so that helps a little. On tests, he counts off lots of points for small errors which really add up. If you have another choice for Cal I or II, take another professor.

comments: Not a bad teacher if you don't mind failing. You will learn a lot in his class, but impossible to get B. When i dropped i had a high D and worked my a** off.
